A Casual Smell in the forest

Ahh! nothing like a nice casual smell of some good smelling forest flowers: it is quite delightful...but not for the flowers. This strange scene was inspired by an art project that had the class draw a scene of a nose sniffing a flower: but it was up to us to decided how the flower itself would react to the smelling nose. Would the flower be happy because a nose was admiring its nice smell? Or would it be irritated by the constant sniffing? well it was an interesting concept but I decided to make the flower simply happy just to be smelled. Anyway, after this, the project sat in my unfinished artwork for about 10 years. So recently I've been slowly working to complete all my unfinished art projects and decided to complete this one; I didn't add anything new...except for one little thing. I slightly changed the expression of the flower from a blissful happy to a "crazy" happy: The flower may look happy to be sniffed but deep inside that teardrop says its tortured to be sniffed like this day by day: a "help me" look of desperation to make it stop. 

I did it this way to make it funny in a strange ironic way: If you know me I can have a strange sense of humor sometimes. And sometimes I make strange artwork just to have a laugh out of it. This turned out to be one of those works and I sure did get a laugh too.
