Through Balto's life as a wolfdog he has struggled with his identity to belong in both society and nature. In a way, his life has been a journey of the unknown and discouragement. Little did he know when he'd go out on the journey to get the medicine from Steele it would be a life changing moment of loss and then finding where he truly belongs.
This was another drawing done about Balto this one was a practice of him running I didn't originally draw the background because the focus was on Balto but later I came to make a great symbolism of his life journey.
