First Contact
Along the beach, In a tide pool I spot one of my long lost animal favorites: could it really be? It is! a sea cucumber! I stick my hand in the tide pool and pick up some sand to feed the strange creature. To my surprise the sea cucumber is not scared at all as it reaches out its tentacles to inspect the food, with that I make first contact.
Wow, this took quite a while to complete, but I was determined. I usually don’t enter into a lot of contests here but when I saw the contest theme I couldn’t resist trying. The Deviantart contest was about drawing yourself with an animal you would love to be friends with. I though of an animal I would really like to try to befriend: and I though of an old favorite: when I first learned about them in 6th grade I fell in love with the sea cucumber: ( this one in particular is based off of a hairy sea cucumber) I though they were so weird in a cute way. But after studying about them for my art I have begin to have second thoughts of loving sea cucumbers so much… oh well too late now!
