Simple Hummingbird animation
Watch in "live action", as the majestic Red-Throated Hummingbird flies down to gets some flower nectar with its long beak. See it amazing flight with its small wings across the jumping meadow to get to the jumping flower.
This is my very first animation, and though it might not be a pretty or smooth one, but I loved making it. Even better I loved how it looks finally finished. This actually began as a rough animation practice: I can't remember if it began as a class project or out of my own interests to learn to animate, but I didn't do it like a traditional hand-drawn animation: it was roughly drawn in little rough squares side by side where I (tried) to draw the same image slowing moving. But I didn't really have any real plans for this practice animation to actually come together to make an actual animation, so this animation sat undone for about ten years until I dug it up again and decided to finish it and see what it would actually look like as a complete animation: so, I finished the original drawings and colored the blocks and put the individual block together in my digital animation tool (Corefx). Not too surprisingly, the animation is jumpy and rough, but it still recognizable so I consider it a first sucess. Hope to do more animations in the future(eventually).
