Artis fixes the Mona Lisa: Moderno Lisa
Artis as the personification of art deeply loves all art, but she especially loves classical/Rennaissance art the most. However, the people's art taste changes and since it's been over 500 years since the Renaissance began and art taste have changed quite a lot, so the classics take a lot of criticism for being boring and stale. Out of all the Renaissance art the legendary "Mona Lisa" is the most hated. It is so hated that many have taken the challenge to try to "fix" this timeless masterpiece: most to no avail. The People have companied about Mona Lisa soo much that Artis has decided to "fix" it to accommodate the modern tastes in art. since she also does love to try new things even if those new things "ruin" a priceless piece of artwork (but it's okay, because she's also a sucker for parodies and can also change back the painting to its original form anytime she wants). So, with her Art powers she transforms the priceless classic into a bright modern beauty: The proper classy Florentine Renaissance Lady turns into a sexy modern Italian lady, the old Italian mountain scene turns into a more scenic Italian Coastline, and the dull realistic world turns into a bright anime/cartoon paradise: the new Mona Lisa is called "moderno Lisa" ("moderno" is Italian for "modern"). Which satisfies the critics (for now).
This was truly a labor of love (and I still did not completely get done before the deadline), but I also had fun with the idea and doing it, so I guess that's what counts (and of course the lovely badge is always nice! ). Anyway, I always wanted to mess around with the Mona Lisa but never got around to doing it, so with Deviantart's the Fix the Mona Lisa April fool challenge I couldn't resist messing with it anymore. Since this was about criticizing classic art, it would be crazy not to include Artis being the very personification of art itself (and with her art powers, not having her change the whole artwork).
So I though "If Mona Lisa was made in this modern times what would it look like?" Well it probably be much more vivid in color than it is now, it would probably be an anime/cartoon painting (the popular art style now), Lisa would be in a more modern cuter pose with modern clothes and hairstyle (specifically Italian clothes/hairstyle which come to find out modern Italian women dress really nice) and the scenery would be more appealing.
And all this together is what I got. I do have to admit even though I can respect the classics, Lisa look really nice in modern anime/cartoon form.
